Community Garden

Gardener in community gardenGrow your own vegetables and flowers while cultivating camaraderie with friends and neighbors in our community garden!

The Community Garden will provide Woodbury residents with an opportunity for positive social interaction and healthy eating habits. Studies have shown that gardening can improve mental well-being by reducing stress, improving cognitive abilities, providing a source of physical activity, creating a sense of pride and accomplishment, and providing opportunities for skills development.

This pilot project, set to kick off in May, is a partnership between the City of Woodbury and Woodbury Thrives. Locally-based civic groups and Woodbury residents are invited to participate in the community garden.

The garden will be located near Andy’s Bark Park, 1664 Dale Road, just east of Woodbury Drive. Parking will be available on site. Daily hours are from 6 a.m.-10 p.m.

Registration for garden plots will begin Wednesday, March 16. Sixteen plots will be available and reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Water is available onsite. Each plot is $25 and 8 feet by 12 feet, with walking paths in between. One plot per civic group or household. For more information and registration, call Parks and Recreation at 651-714-3583.
