The City of Woodbury requires that any business selling cannabinoid products obtain a license before conducting business in the city (City Code Chapter 11, Article XV - Cannabinoid Products. Cannabinoids include edible THC products, and all products available for sale must meet the requirements established by Minnesota State Law
Applications must be submitted via appointment only. Exact change or check is required (no credit/debit cards).
License Requirements
- License holders must be at least 21 years of age;
- Clerks selling cannabinoid products must be at least 18 years of age;
- Sales permitted daily between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.;
- No home, mobile, vending, delivery, or self-service sales;
- Samples and discounted products are not allowed;
- Licensed location must be at least 500 feet from any school, playground, park, or licensed childcare facility;
- Other rules and requirements as defined by Woodbury City Ordinance;
- ALL rules and requirements as established by Minnesota Statutes and the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.
The City of Woodbury Cannabinoid Product License encompasses any edible or nonedible cannabinoid product authorized for sale in Minnesota Statute.
Cannabinoid Product sales are only permitted between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Individuals selling the cannabinoid product or devices MUST be at least 18 years of age.
Licenses are valid Jan. 1-Dec. 31 of each year. Renewal applications must be submitted no later than Nov. 30.
Fees
The fee for a cannabinoid product license is $10,700 (includes both the application fee and background investigation fee).
