Administration
The Administration and Finance Department is responsible for City Council support, finance, human resource activities, labor relations, elections, liquor and tobacco licensing, dog licensing, data practices (records) requests, and general government administration.

Building Permits & Inspections
Woodbury uses a combination permit. Separate permits will only be required on jobs where there is no related combination building permit.

Fire Inspections & Permits
The City of Woodbury's Inspection Division oversees the General Fire Safety Inspection Program.

The City Clerk's Division issues licenses as required by the City Code. For your convenience, several license applications are available.

Woodbury's parks, trails, and open space system is an important element in the quality of life for its residents.

Planning
The Planning Division conducts long-range planning for future growth in the city, reviews new development and redevelopment plans for compliance with ordinance standards and the Comprehensive Plan, and assists the Planning Commission in their review of zoning and site design of current development projects.

Police
The Police Department protects human life and property by responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service, enforcing laws and ordinances, investigating crimes, apprehending criminals, providing proactive policing and maintaining order.

Public Works
The Public Works Department is in charge of Fleet, Parks & Forestry, Streets, Storm Water, and Utilities (Water and Sewer). The department is also responsible for special watering permits, hydrant permits, spring overweight permits, and building moving permits.
