Minnesota GreenStep Cities is a voluntary challenge, assistance and recognition program to help cities achieve their sustainability and quality of life goals. The city is committed to becoming more sustainable by focusing on the implementation of best practices related to the GreenStep Cities program.
Woodbury became a Minnesota Green Step City in 2013. That same year, the city received an award at the League of Minnesota Cities annual conference for advancing through Steps 1 through 3 of the program. The city was recognized for completing Steps 4 through 5 in June 2020.
