Smoke alarms save lives, playing a vital role in reducing fire deaths and injuries. If there is a fire in your home, smoke spreads fast and you need smoke alarms to give you time to get out.
Smoke detectors are required in each dwelling per Minnesota Statute 299F.362 and shall be located in each bedroom, in corridors leading to bedrooms and on every level of the home. Smoke detectors should be interconnected if possible.
