The City of Woodbury has a scholarship program to assist Woodbury residents with financial needs relating to recreation programs. Program scholarships are available to current Woodbury residents who meet income limitations. Scholarships for recreation programs are available for programs with a fee of $11 or more (some programs excluded). There is a $150 annual limit of scholarship dollars for each eligible applicant. A completed program scholarship application and a copy of the household's most recent federal filed tax return is required. An applicant's eligibility is determined using the sliding scale calculated off of the median income level for the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, based upon statistical information supplied by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) annually, and the first page of the applicant's most recently filed federal tax return.
To apply for the current year's program, complete the Program Scholarship Application (PDF), along with the household's last filed Federal tax return and forward to the City of Woodbury, Parks and Recreation Department, via email or mail to 8301 Valley Creek Road, Woodbury, Minnesota 55125. If preferred, applicants may contact the Recreation Department for an application to be mailed.
All recreational programs offered by the city are open to everyone in the community. If you are interested in participating and have special needs or support services; we ask you to notify us at least two weeks in advance of the program start date so we can create a successful environment for you.
