If you are going out of town for an extended period of time, Woodbury Police recommends asking a family member, friend or neighbor to keep an eye on your home while you're away. We encourage you to stop delivery of your newspapers and mail or have them brought in, so they do not visibly pile up while you're away from your home.
Having someone open and close curtains and setting house lights on a timer also makes your home look occupied. Make sure someone removes snow or mows the lawn, as the season dictates.
If you plan on being gone longer than a week and do not have someone to check on your home, Woodbury Community Service Officers will periodically check the exterior of your home while you are out of town. If you are interested in a Community Service Officer checking on the exterior of your home while you are away, please submit a vacation check request using the form below.
