Body Worn Cameras

The Woodbury Police Department utilizes body worn cameras, which are referred to as portable recording systems by Minnesota law (State Statute 626.8473). The use of recorders is intended to enhance the mission of the Department by accurately capturing contacts between members of the Department and the public. Officers may only use department issued portable recording devices in the performance of official duties or when otherwise performing authorized law enforcement services as a member of this department.
