The Bike Patrol Unit was established in 1992 and has been a successful part of our community's policing ever since. You will often see bike patrol officers at community events like Woodbury Days and the Fourth of July celebration. This Unit aids the Department in providing opportunities for closer community contact, increased visibility around the city and a more discreet approach. Our officers on bikes can also maneuver in areas that a vehicle cannot and the response time can be quicker than that of an officer in a vehicle.
Woodbury's unit is comprised of 6 officers and 1 sergeant that have qualified themselves through intensive training in advanced riding skills and patrolling strategies.
