1. What is adaptive recreation?

Adaptive recreation is recreational sports and/or fitness programs for people with cognitive and/or physical disabilities with modifications necessary so people of all abilities can participate.

2. Who can participate?

Youth and young adults with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. 

3. Do you have to be a Woodbury resident to participate?

No, we encourage anyone who is interested to register for our programs no matter where you live!

4. Do I need to bring my own equipment?

All equipment for each program is supplied. The only equipment you would need to bring is anything your child uses on a daily basis (communication device, walker/wheelchair, etc.). 

5. Will there be people to help my child?

Each program will have an instructor or supervisor that helps run the program. At certain programs, volunteers may be onsite to help, but there may not enough for everyone to have a buddy. Parents/guardians should be prepared to help their child(ren).
