What are the payment options?

Payment options for special assessments are outlined below:

  • Pay the entire assessment interest free within 30 days of the date the assessment roll is adopted.
  • Pay the entire assessment prior to Nov. 15, with interest accrued from the date the assessment roll is adopted through the date the city receives the payment
  • Allow the assessment to be spread with interest in equal installments over 15 years to be collected with your property taxes starting next year. If you choose this option you don't need to take any action. You may choose to pay off the remaining principal balance to the City of Woodbury anytime during the 15-year term with no penalty.

A partial payment is allowed that shall be the larger of 20% of the original amount assessed or $200. The partial payment will reduce the amount of time the assessment will be paid off, not the annual installment. You may pay your assessment by cash, check or money order.

If you wish to pay in person come to the Finance Department on the second floor at City Hall, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Payment can also be mailed to the City of Woodbury, 8301 Valley Creek Road, Woodbury, MN 55125.
