More… Join us, along with the Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District and Washington Conservation District, to help plant a raingarden at City Hall, 8301 Valley Creek Road, on Wednesday, June 7, from 5-7 p.m. Rain gardens filter and clean stormwater runoff from rooftops and pavement. They also create habitat for birds and pollinators. The raingarden will help protect the Tamarack Nature Preserve, the southernmost tamarack bog in Minnesota and a hidden gem of our community! Volunteers should wear close-toed shoes and bring gloves, kneeling pads and hand shovels if you have them. There will be a small supply of gloves and shovels on hand. More… Join us, along with the South Washington Watershed District, for a seeding event at Hasenbank Woods on Sunday, May 16, from 4-6 p.m. Volunteers will be working in teams, spreading woodland and savanna grass seed to start building soils and bring diversity back to the woodland.
