Please arrive early so you can view the many displays. Also plan to stay a little longer as Culver's of Woodbury will host an ice cream social with their fresh frozen custard.
The ceremony will take place at the Woodbury Lions Veterans Memorial, located on the City Hall campus. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at the City Park Amphitheater, 8595 Central Park Place. On Radio Drive, turn east at the traffic light by the Woodbury Fire and Police Departments.

The Woodbury VFW Post 9024 will host the 2022 Veterans Day Ceremony.
This year's keynote speaker is retired Woodbury Fire Chief John Wallgren. John was born and raised in St. Paul and graduated from Harding High School in 1981. After graduation, he joined the U. S. Marines, was a Combat Engineer stationed in Okinawa and toured several Southeast Asian locations.
After his discharge from the Marines, John joined the 133rd Airlift Wing of the Minnesota Air National Guard. While in 133rd Airlift Wing, John served in the 133rd Fire Department, retiring from the Air Guard in 2003.
Because of his interest and training in firefighting, he also joined the Woodbury Fire Department. John progressed in the Woodbury Fire Department and was promoted to Woodbury Fire Chief in 2018 and retired from the Woodbury Fire Department in 2021.
John and his wife, Jane, and their three sons, Ryan, Lucas and Nathan, are longtime residents of Woodbury.
