Car Seat Safety

Baby in Car SeatMinnesota State Law requires that children under age eight, unless they are 4'9" or taller, must be in an appropriate, federally approved child safety seat or booster seat.

The proper use of car seats is one of the simplest and most effective methods available for protecting the lives of young children in the event of a motor vehicle crash. However, according to Safe Kids Worldwide, three out of four car seats are not installed properly.

Although we have currently suspended our car seat checks due to COVID-19, we know that parents are still transporting children and depend on resources to ensure they are doing it safely! Safe Kids Worldwide has “The Ultimate Car Seat Guide” that parents and caretakers can reference when looking for answers on topics such as buying, installing, getting just the right fit and transitioning to the next seat!
