Bonfire, Build, Bows and Bait
Venture out of your normal Saturday for an afternoon at Carver Lake Park! Participants will learn the basic skills of archery, unleashing their new skills with real and NERF™ bows, tackle the skill of fishing, build a cool LEGO® item and finish up the day with s'mores by the bonfire!
Recommended ages 4-12 with an adult

1, 2 and 3 p.m. sessions available
$12 (only child needs to register)
Kids Mud Run: Challenge Accepted.
Climb, crawl, slide and run your way through muddy and wet obstacles! This roughly one-mile course is sure to get you messy! Participants have the option to run the course twice. This is not a timed event; the goal is to finish messy! We strongly advise participants to bring an extra set of clothes for after the run.

Arrive between 9-10 a.m., waves will run as participants arrive and course clears. Last wave runs at 10 a.m.

Puppet Wagon Preview Party

Carver Lake Campout
The Carver Lake Camp Out provides an opportunity for families to relive, or experience for the first time, how much fun it is to spend a night sleeping under the stars and enjoy the sounds of nature at night. There will be numerous activities to participate in throughout the evening and morning. Once registered, we will provide a supply list and more details about the activities. Dinner, campfire treats and a continental breakfast will be provided. If you have special dietary needs, please note when registering. This event will be held rain or shine and is always a huge hit!

4th of July Celebration
Celebrate the 4th of July at Woodbury’s Hometown Celebration. This year’s band will be the Thrillbillies, bringing you the best in up-tempo, country dance music along with a few surprises. Learn more at thrillbilliesmn.com. Thrillbillies will hit the stage at 7 p.m. and perform until the traditional fireworks display. All activities are free. Concessions sold on site.

Kids Duathlon: Bike it. Run it. Du it.
Bike and run to test your endurance in this duathlon! Youth will bike roughly two miles and run roughly one mile along the trails of Colby Lake Park. All participants must bring their own bike; wear athletic shoes and a well-fitting bike helmet.

Tiny Tot Triathlon
A triathlon set up just for the tiniest triathletes! Participants will bike, run and get wet as they make their way to the finish line where all they will receive a sticker medal presented to them by a firefighter or police officer! Little athletes will bike on their own tricycle, bicycle, Strider, or similar self-pushed riding item on a path; run, walk or skip down a length of path; splash into our splash pad; and end with dash to the finish line. Plus, before or after the race, they’ll have a chance to create a medal craft and grab a snack and water.
A family member or friend over the age of 12 must assist (run/walk next to) their registered participant(s) as they make their way through the course. Participants need to bring their own bike, wear a helmet, comfortable clothes that can get wet and athletic shoes. This is a recreational event.
Please note: the splash pad at HealthEast Sports Center will be reserved for this event from 9-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3.

Puppet Wagon Schedule
The Puppet Wagon will be traveling around Woodbury neighborhoods and parks performing puppet shows filled with music and silly puppets! Performances are about seven minutes long and participants can play with the puppets afterwards. Shows will be canceled in the event of poor weather conditions.

Splash Pad Storytime
Join Woodbury Parks and Recreation along with the Washington County Library for Storytime at HealthEast Sports Center’s Splash Pad! Each Storytime will include three or four stories, songs, rhymes and finger-plays. Storytime lasts roughly 30 minutes and will be canceled due to inclement weather.
