Ice Skating Lessons

COVID-19 Skating Lessions Information
Due to COVID-19, we are unable to offer Beginner 1 and Beginner 2 classes this fall due to the hands-on contact needed for these groups. All registered skaters MUST be able to skate and get up from the ice on their own in order to participate in lessons this fall. Parents are not allowed on the ice or in the player bench area.

There is a maximum of 10 skaters per class, so please register early.

There will be no practice time offered with the lessons. Instead, we have extended each instructor-led class from 30 minutes to 40 minutes.

Instructors and student are required to wear masks at all times at HSC, including when on the ice. The only exceptions to wearing masks on ice are Team Ensemble, Intro to Synchro and the high school teams.

All participants will be allowed to enter HSC 15 minutes before their lesson time. Please be ready, with skates on, five minutes before class starts. Entrance and exit doors will be assigned.

Junior Club
Junior Club will be held this year in conjunction with the Woodbury Figure Skating Club on Monday evenings. Skaters in Gamma, Delta and Freestyle levels are encouraged to participate in this new class. Please visit the WFSC website for information and registration. The Woodbury Parks and Recreation Department offers the Ice Skating Institute of America's (ISI) Learn to Skate Program. This program offers a skill progression designed to enhance the capabilities of all skaters. Skating lessons are held at HealthEast Sports Center, with sessions in spring, summer, fall and winter.
